POLYNATIONS

Our friends from The Goddess Channel have completed their much anticipated DVD: POLYNATIONS,
that includes all videos from Goddess Channel Dance Mix, the new videos premiering this month, and a bonus, DVD only track.
Watch the POLYNATIONS's videos on our sister channel, Club Chroma as well!
This month's POLYNATIONS premiers:

Breathe

Filmed in the Mermaid Room at the world-famous Brookdale Lodge in the Santa Cruz mountains. Take a breath before you dive deep and swim with ephemeral mermaids and mermen in this underwater fantasy. Progressive techno with vocals by Sofiah Thom & Desire. www.goddesschannel.com

Mexica

An ancient warrior drum rhythm recorded and alchemized into a techno trance stomper. Visuals reveal the performers' energy fields, in full ceremonial costume interacting with sacred Mayan symbols. Techno trance mix of a traditional Aztec rhythm. Ancient future. Tribal trance. Featuring ritual dancers Tonalcoatl & Cital Cuatil. www.goddesschannel.com

Bali Breaks

Featuring Balinese masked dancers Audette Sophia & Jena Kline, whose stylized movements are enhanced and entranced by Goddess conceived atmospheres. Breakbeat with Far Eastern influences. www.goddesschannel.com

Spaces In Between

MC Auric & Dr. D pollinate the San Francisco cityscape with electro magnetic visions, featuring time-lapse footage by Emmy winning cinematographer David Fortney. Hip-Hop/Techno (Hypno) track. Urban electro hip hop. Dance performances by Sofiah Thom and Makaylah. www.goddesschannel.com

Snake Charm

Snake dancer Le'ema Kathleen Graham expresses her magic within a backdrop of time-lapse nature footage of Emmy winning cinematographer David Fortney. Dub track featuring jazz clarinet by Perry Robinson and otherworldly vocals by Taressa Bell. www.goddesschannel.com

ANTARCTICA II

Chill with timeless vistas of the last continent through Hub Culture's and Forward Motion Theater's meditation of melting ice, barren stone, and impossibly blue seas. Featuring a playfully ambient acoustic score by Aerostatic. Second in a series of excepts from the full-length DVD available at www.forwardmotiontheater.org

PRIMORDIAL

Aerostatic pulls you down into the intense vibrating hues of a garden pond with two audio tracks contemplating tonal pulses and drones. Visual treatments by Forward Motion Theater dissolve the macro-environment into the abstracted, mechanical vision of a multi-lensed insect.

Primordial was commissioned by Providence Art Windows, a juried art and installations exhibit that fills empty retail spaces in Downtown Providence. Providence Art Windows adds to the walking experience in the revitalized Downcity area. www.forwardmotiontheater.org

FloatingWorlds News July-August 2008
July 30, 2008

Greetings...and please pardon the lapse in updates. We've been traveling across Europe and the United States filming and gathering new FloatingWorlds content.

SUBCONSCIOUS SOUL

New to the FloatingWorlds channel on Joost is Austrian multi-media artist Helmuth's Subconscious Soul, named after the soundtrack composed by Brannan Lane. Subconscious Soul features Butoh choreography and performance by Kate McDevitt, and explores a different conception of dance...one where movement is not forced from without but released from within. The art of Butoh dance bridges the conscious and subconscious, revealing a physical and spiritual metamorphosis.

TANTRIKA

Also added to our Joost IPTV channel is Tantrika, the first of a series of meditation videos that center consciousness on the beauty of the human Presence. Inspired by the traditional Tantric discipline of controlling attachment by meditation on either decaying corpses or exquisite nude women, FloatingWorlds celebrates desire through a radiant appreciation of the human presence as consciousness is raised through all 7 Chakras. Tantrika reveals the luminous within everyone....the luminosity of The Floating Worlds. Filmed by John Wadsworth. Featuring exquisite Tantrika, Suzanne. Edited by John Wadsworth with Frank Ford, with a Tibetan Bowl chakra aligning soundtrack by Karma Moffett. Watch. Meditate. Feel your Floating World...
